Iran says Strait of Hormuz is strategic asset, vows to keep resisting
Iran said on Tuesday the Strait of Hormuz was a geopolitical asset that should be fully leveraged, as it vowed to continue resisting its adversaries.
Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said the waterway was “a geopolitical reality” and “a bestowed advantage that we must make full use of.”
She said Iran had shown resilience despite acknowledging the military superiority of its adversaries.
“We have no doubt about the enemy’s military superiority, but our strength is that we have resisted 10 times more than they expected,” she said.
“We will resist for as long as necessary,” she added.
