In addition to military translators, the United States grants immigrant visas to thousands of other Afghan citizens

The State Department has introduced a new program that allows more than 50,000 Afghan translators and their families who have previously obtained US visas, as well as thousands of other Afghan nationals who have been in contact with the United States, to escape the Taliban threat.
