The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also summoned the Romanian Ambassador to Tehran in connection with the attack on the Mercer Street ship, at the same time as the British Embassy was summoned.
In a meeting with the Romanian ambassador, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the Iranian attack on the ship a "false and invalid accusation."
Hossein Zolfaghari, head of the Security, Social and Disciplinary Committee of the Ministry of Interior's Corona Management, said that "last year we had a good experience in holding the Muharram ceremony," adding that mourning and processions would be repeated this year.
